Stewart Beach is the second most visited beach on the island. The family-friendly beach park is equipped with tons of amenities and services most valued by families, including showers and restrooms, a pavilion, chair and umbrella rentals, and more, all open from March 5 each year. Porretto Beach is another possibility for hitting the sand in the east end. Visitors can enjoy the beach and water along with tons of special events, outdoor concerts, and more. Along the island's northwest side, there are several coves featuring smaller beaches where fishing, boating, scuba diving, snorkeling and more are possible.
