These days, badges are required for anyone over the age of 13 visiting the beach between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Two beachside booths sell daily and seasonal passes, with discounts for seniors and young teenagers (13 and 14 year olds). Permits help cover the cost of keeping the beach safe and comfortable. Restrooms and showers are found at several points on the various beaches.

Plenty of visitors seek out relaxing things to do, like snoozing in the sun or enjoying a picnic. Visitors are allowed to bring food and drinks as long as they leave the alcohol at home. Along with lazy time at the beach, visitors also enjoy more active pursuits. Plenty of visitors enjoy a stroll alongside the dune grass or a sightseeing excursion. Surfing is an option at the Third Avenue Beach, while anglers flock the beach jetties in search of bluefish and striper. New Jersey beaches still have life once the sun has set, and Bradley Beach is no exception. After dark, the cool ocean breezes will feel fantastic as you’re enjoying a stroll along the shore. A seaside pavilion hosts nighttime concerts on several dates between Memorial Day and Labor Day—no tickets are needed. You also could try a round of miniature golf right along the beach.
