Cape May Hotels

Cape May Hotels
Cape May has long been a popular New Jersey seaside resort. As such, the city has had ample time to build up its hotel count. Today, the Cape May hotels include something to suit virtually every taste and preference, and it should be noted that budget motels and quaint B&Bs are in especially good supply. Visitors to the Cape May beaches should book well in advance when planning a summer visit regardless of what they have in mind for lodging, and holiday periods can see accommodations filling up fast as well.

The Montreal Inn

The Montreal Inn (pictured above) enjoys an excellent location on Cape May Beach and is just a short walk from all the in-town attractions. This lends to the inn’s popularity among the beachfront hotels in Cape May, as do its accommodating rooms and ample facilities. While not overly luxurious, the rooms feature a tasteful design and are equipped with such things as cable TV, air conditioning, a radio alarm clock, and a private balcony. General hotel facilities include a bar & grill restaurant and a beach club that features beach equipment for guest use. Beach club attendants are in place to help guests with things such as setting up shade-bearing umbrellas and ordering food from the hotel restaurant.

Congress Hall

There are several grand hotels in Cape May, and they include the Congress Hall Hotel. Set on a lovely lawn that overlooks the sea, this beachfront retreat has been around for more than a century. Renovations have helped to keep it current throughout the years, though it hasn’t lost its historical charm. The room count at Congress Hall totals 108, and there are five suites to select from as well. Cheery decor is found in each and every guest unit, as are color TVs, DVD players, free high-speed Internet access, telephones with voice mail and data ports, individual climate control, soft robes, and quality bath products. As far as the Congress Hall facilities are concerned, highlights include a full-service spa, a fitness room, meeting and event facilities, a pool, a dining room restaurant, a cocktail lounge, and a night club.

Grand Hotel of Cape May

At 1045 Beach Avenue, Cape May visitors will find a large resort and convention center complex that is known as the Grand Hotel of Cape May. This sizeable establishment caters to both business and leisure travelers with its extensive facilities, and there are several room categories to choose from. The two-story townhouse suites offer the most space, and there are numerous units that feature kitchen facilities. Outside of the rooms and suites, guests at the Grand Hotel of Cape May can find both an indoor and an outdoor pool. The hotel also features a renowned restaurant that specializes in steak and seafood.

Angel of the Sea

For those who enjoy the B&B experience, there are plenty of Cape May hotels that can accommodate. One such example is the Angel of the Sea. Found less than a block from the beach, this Victorian gem offers a great location to go with its charm and elegance. There are 27 total guestrooms. Cable TV and Wi-Fi also come standard, and guests can take advantage of the books, magazines and board games that are found in the hotel’s common areas. The Angel of the Sea B&B is open year round, and as is common of the Cape May hotels in general, it is known to offer special lodging packages, especially in the off-season.

Virginia Hotel Cape May

The Virginia Hotel isn’t technically one of the beachfront hotels in Cape May, as it is slightly removed from the sand. The beach is just a short stroll away, however, and when it comes down to it, the hotel is one of the best lodging establishments around. Those who are looking to enjoy certain levels of luxury and comfort are surely encouraged to keep it in mind. Luxury linens, elite brand bath products, flat-screen TVs, and mini bars are among the standard in-room amenities. Guests also enjoy free Wi-Fi, and continental breakfasts are also included in the rates. As for the Virginia Hotel’s general facilities, highlights include a very respectable wine cellar and a fully serviced beach area.
