Ehukai Beach

Ehukai Beach
The Banzai Pipeline is a surfer’s paradise situated on the magnificent north coast of Oahu. It is an intense surf break that is known to avid boarders around the world. The beach itself is a gorgeous white-sand beach that is certainly not for the faint of heart. If you are looking for a relaxed day in the sun on one of the best Oahu beaches, you can definitely find it lying on the sand, but once you hit the surf, you will feel the full effect of the Banzai Pipeline, the most notorious element of the Ehukai Beach Park Hawaii. While this beach is among the most magnificent in Hawaii, it also must be noted that it is easily one of the most dangerous. It is not at all uncommon to see waves topping out at well over twenty feet during times when the conditions are the most severe.

This is the kind of beach in Hawaii that necessitates having qualified lifeguards, who actually are called upon with more regularity than you might imagine to perform heroic rescues. There are also coral formations that lend to many a broken bone. This is nothing you need to worry about if you are just going to hang out on the beach, and it is not likely that you will test these waters on a board unless you already really know what you are doing.

There is a nice selection of facilities and amenities here as well. As said before, the lifeguards are qualified and regularly patrol the beach. There are picnic tables and designated picnic areas, changing rooms, showers, restrooms, and more. There are several places to find a bite to eat and a nice drink within close enough proximity of the beach.
