Napili Beach is among the most popular vacation destination on the western coast of Maui. It is an absolutely stunning and picturesque locale that is marked by gorgeous bays like Oneloa Bay, Namalu Bay, and Napili Bay. The amazing thing about this part of Hawaii is that each of these protected bays offer amazing beaches, most of which feature white sand and sprawling stretches of coastline where you can do everything from kayaking and kitesurfing to scuba diving and snorkeling. Because of the close proximity to a number of popular resort destinations, and the fact that it is itself a resort destination, you will find that there are plenty of guest accommodations nearby Napili Beach and in the Napili Bay area.
Just as with most of the beaches in Hawaii, if there are lifeguards, they are generally more heavily concentrated in the areas closest to the hotels and resorts. The same is true at Napili Beach. There are generally lifeguards on duty during the day, but you should always exercise caution when swimming, especially during the times when the currents are rougher and there are signs warning of intense surf.
The west coast of Maui is actually one of the areas on the island where you can enjoy the benefits of full-scale resorts, while not having to sacrifice your privacy. Some of the best beaches in and around Napili Bay are relatively sedate, especially during the week. Public facilities include showers, changing rooms, concessions, and restrooms. You will also definitely want to remember to bring your camera to catch images of this breathtaking beach on the island of Maui.
