Vilano Beach

Vilano Beach is an awesome beach in St Augustine that many locals fancy the city’s best-kept secret. It is a relaxing beach that nonetheless offers all kinds of activities, many of which center around the Vilano Beach Fishing Pier. Parasailing is a favorite activity and it is also possible to rent jet skis and wave runners for your exhilarating water sports pleasure. There are several great restaurants that afford ocean views and this is also the place to charter boats for exciting deep sea fishing expeditions. Vilano Beach offers a little bit of something for everyone, including comprehensive public facilities and lifeguards during the day.

Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area

This is perhaps the most naturally breathtaking area in all of St Augustine. Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area is comprised of over 1,700 acres and a whopping five miles of gorgeous beaches. There are areas where lifeguards are actively on duty, as well as a full range of public facilities (a major bonus for a place like this, which is otherwise so serene and peaceful). There are also hiking trails, beach volleyball courts, picnic areas, concessions, and so much more. This is one of the St Augustine beaches that you truly owe it to yourself to visit if you are already planning a trip to northeastern Florida. It does not get a whole lot better than this in terms of natural beauty or fun activities.
