Delaware Beaches

Delaware Beaches
Delaware beaches are typically sandwiched between the Atlantic Oceans and one of the bays. With diverse conditions, it’s easy to find the perfect beach whether you’re looking to go swimming or seeking watersports adventure. Along the way you’ll find plenty of fun and funky beachside towns with great hotels and restaurants, along with tax-free shopping everybody loves.

Located a long a seven-mile-long stretch of beaches known as the Quiet Resorts, Bethany Beach is in southwest Delaware, close to Fenwick Island and the Maryland border. The water is perfect for swimming from the end of May to the beginning of October, and a half-mile boardwalk is a favorite gathering place, especially when the sun is setting.

With a prime location between Rehoboth Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Dewey Beach is a popular spot for sailboarding, water skiing, fishing, and swimming—all 125 miles from Washington, D.C. While summer is high season, of course, the spring and fall months are becoming more popular. There’s still good weather and fun things to do before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.

A laid-back beach town with a lot of style, Rehoboth Beach long has been a favorite vacation getaway for Washington residents. A boardwalk runs for a mile along the shore, connecting eateries, games, and hotels. You’ll also find a wealth of state parks and natural spaces where you can spend time relaxing or finding adventure, whatever your style. Delaware Seashore State Park is one of most popular destinations in Rehoboth Beach, and one of the most popular of Delaware beaches, the state park encompasses 2,800 acres of prime real estate on a barrier island. More than six miles of shoreline are waiting at Delaware Seashore State Park.
