Delaware Beach Hotels

The bulk of the Delaware beach hotels are found in five different beach towns, the most popular of which is likely Rehoboth Beach. These beach towns are in the southern part of the state where the waters of Delaware Bay give way to the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Each of the Delaware beach towns has its own atmosphere so visitors to the region are encouraged to give them all a look when trying to find their ideal accommodations.

Should you be heading south along the southern Delaware coast, the first beach town that you will come to is Lewes. A relatively quaint hangout, Lewes provides an excellent beach on the coastal side of the canal. It also provides proximity to the delightful beach at Cape Henlopen State Park. The hotels in Lewes are well-priced on the whole, as is true of the Delaware beach hotels in general, and it’s not too far to the water regardless of where you ultimately choose to stay.

To the south of Lewes is Rehoboth Beach. A very popular Delaware beach vacation destination, it offers a variety of hotels, and many of these hotels are just steps from the charming boardwalk and the wide beach. Heading south of Rehoboth Beach, it doesn’t take long to get to Dewey Beach. This beach town caters more to the party crowd, especially during Spring Break and the peak summer beach season, so it’s arguably not the best bet for families who are searching for beach hotels in Delaware.

Rounding out the top five Delaware beach vacation destinations are the towns of Bethany and Fenwick. A good mix of hotels can be found on or near the sand in both Bethany and Fenwick, and there are beachfront homes and condos to choose from as well should that be the preferred route.
