If you’re planning a city break to San Diego, that doesn’t mean you can’t work on your tan too. Coronado Beach has become increasingly popular since the media has added it to lists including the best beaches in America. Located only five miles from downtown San Diego, Coronado is a perfect escape from the city. Another popular option is Mission Beach. Extending for nearly two miles, Mission Beach is considered part of the city of San Diego, but it feels far from urban.
