Los Cabos

Los Cabos
Los Cabos, or The Capes as it is known in English, is an area in Mexico. Found at the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula, this area is home to both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Both towns are known for their stunning scenery, immaculate beaches, and enticing activity options.

Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo might be sister towns, but that doesn't exactly mean that they are similar. In Cabo San Lucas, the atmosphere is rowdier on the whole, thanks largely to the numerous bars and clubs. The town is also known for its yachting culture and its luxurious beachfront hotels.

Separating the Los Cabos towns is an area that is referred to as the Tourist Corridor. Along this twenty-mile coastal zone, you will find upscale resorts, planned communities, golf courses, and sandy beaches. Many Los Cabos visitors base themselves in the Tourist Corridor and make side trips to both towns when they get the urge. It is also common for people to stay in one of the towns and visit both the Tourist Corridor and the other town on the side. However you choose to do it, there won't be a lack of ways to stay entertained.

Hanging out on a glorious beach is the most popular activity in the Los Cabos region, and it's not hard to understand why. The Los Cabos beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and there is truly something for everyone in terms of what they have to offer. On Cabo San Lucas's main beach, or Playa Medano, for example, there are numerous watersports activities to select from, and you won't want for places to get something to eat or drink. If you prefer, you can also venture off to relatively deserted beaches that lack a lot of facilities and watersports rentals. Some of the most deserted beaches in the area are found east of San Jose del Cabo in the East Cape area.
