Cabo San Lucas beaches provide idyllic vacation destinations for people in search of warm sun, beautiful weather, and a variety of water activities and attractions. Located at the tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas offers miles of gorgeous beaches with plenty of accommodations, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Playa Solmar
Playa Solmar is one of the most alluring Cabo beaches, offering a wide stretch of enviable coastline that features white sand, shady palms, lifeguards, and all necessary public accommodations, including restrooms, eateries, stores, and more. This particular beach runs from Pedregal to Land’s End, facing the Pacific, and offers a wide range of luxury hotels and resorts. You access this particular beach through the entrance of either the TerraSol Resort or the Solmar Suites Hotel. You can also get to this beach by entering at the end of Avenida Solmar. The beach here is absolutely breathtaking, but the currents can be a little dicey, so be sure to take proper precautions, especially if you have the kids along for the trip.
Playa del Amor, also known as Playa del Amante (Lover’s Beach) is a another example of the picturesque beaches that pepper the landscape of Cabo San Lucas, and it’s also known as one of the great beaches in Mexico. One of the reasons that this is one of the most alluring Cabo beaches for people who really know the geography, is because of the privacy of this hidden cove that you must access via boat. One of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of doing this is by hiring a water taxi at the Cabo San Lucas Marina. Depending upon what you want to do, you have the option of having your captain drop you off and pick you up later in the day (arrange this to happen for one pre-arranged, agreed upon price). Normal itineraries to Lover’s Beach include explorations of the most popular dive sites as well as a trip around the point of the peninsula to witness the area where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Pack a lunch and a bottle of wine for a relaxing and tranquil day. There are some public accommodations like restrooms, but do not expect to find lifeguards or rentals.
Medano Beach, also referred to as Playa El Medano (The Dune Beach), is a huge beach that offers a wide range of water sports and activities, from parasailing and jet skiing, to kayaking and snorkeling. There are a huge variety of accommodations, restaurants, and bars at this beach that stretches through the main area where the majority of the hotels are located in Cabo San Lucas. The landscape is utterly breathtaking with the dunes and the crystal blue waters. Most of the areas of this beach are reserved for patrons of the hotels and resorts along it, but you can also access it from public points of entrance like the one near the Club Cascadas de Baja. This is another of the Cabo San Lucas beaches well worth looking into on your vacation. Public facilities and lifeguards abound.
