Corralejo Beach

Corralejo Beach
Corralejo Beach Fuerteventura is just one of many magnificent coastal destinations in the Canary Islands. Fuerteventura is known as offering some of the very best beaches in Spain, especially on this archipelago, and Corralejo makes a short list of the top beaches on the island. It is situated at the northern tip of Fuerteventura and comprises a series of family-friendly beaches with all of the requisite services and public facilities. There are also many beach bars and restaurants within very close proximity of the beach, as well as a host of guest accommodations, including resorts, hotels, and vacation rentals.

The Corralejo beaches used to be occupied by a small fishing port. Nowadays, they are separated into a few different areas that have been significantly gentrified. Naturist sunbathing is less frequent on the beaches that are closest to town, which may be something visitors who are not accustomed to this tradition may appreciate knowing. It should, however, be noted that naturist sunbathing is permitted all over the island of Fuerteventura. Corralejo offers lifeguards, beach security, first aid, and comprehensive public facilities. Visitors will have no problem finding restrooms, changing rooms, showers, and access to plenty of places to eat and drink. The beaches close to town are more sheltered than those two miles outside the city, and offer fine sand and clear blue waters.

The beaches of Corralejo also comprise the seven miles of coastline that starts less than two miles outside of the town proper. These are long and wide, white-sand beaches where people enjoy everything from surfing and boating to scuba diving and swimming. There is a range of things to do along this long stretch of beach, and after a long day of soaking up the sun, you can enjoy one of the many beach bars and restaurants. Many of these established are positioned right on the water and offer brilliant vistas of the sea.

The beauty of the northern coast of Fuerteventura truly does speak for itself. From the volcanic outcroppings and breathtaking bays to the crystal clear water and powdery white sand, it is no wonder why this particular island in the Canary chain is so very popular amongst international tourists. While there are plenty of hotels and vacation rentals, the coast of Corralejo is not over-developed, such that the buildings interrupt the natural beauty of the area. In fact, there are sand dunes and all manners of tropical foliage set aside in an area as a nature reserve.

Since there is something for just about everyone to enjoy in Fuerteventura, the island is a popular vacation destination, especially for tourists from Western Europe. Naturist sunbathing is permitted, but people do not flaunt themselves and rather tend to be discreet in areas where it is evident that other people are also sunbathing nude. Besides a wonderful experience on the beach itself, you will discover many opportunities to enjoy the alluring Mediterranean dining that is abundant on the island, as well as relaxing activities like bathing in the warm water of the Mediterranean Sea. The island of Fuerteventura is like a paradise on earth, and Corralejo provides some of its most beautiful stretches of coastline.
