Minorca

Minorca is one of the Balearic Islands of Spain. Its name is derived from the fact that it is smaller than nearby Majorca, also referred to as Mallorca. It is a wonderful Mediterranean retreat where tourists from around the world escape for rest and relaxation. Top beaches include Cala en Porter, Playa Punta Prima, and Playa de Binibeca. Ferries are available for trips to the neighboring islands or to the mainland. Minorca Spain is a top international tourist attraction for very good reason.

The dining also must be noted in any explanation of the highlights of Minorca. The cuisine is dominated by Mediterranean fare.
