One of the most desirable beach locations in Italy is the Amalfi Coast. This rocky coastline is known more for its picturesque villages clinging to cliffs than its beaches, but there are also plenty of opportunities to soak up the golden sunshine. Most of the beaches here are pebbly instead of sandy, but with a beach chair you will barely notice. There are few more beautiful places in the world to watch a sunset than at one of the beaches along the Amalfi Coast. One popular excursion from the Amalfi Coast is for the island of Capri. Again, you won’t find sandy beaches here, but there are fashionable lidos for sunbathing and sipping a local cocktail.
