The best beaches in the world
The US Virgin Islands are a true beach lover's paradise. In this Caribbean chain, the sand is soft and white, and meeting the sand are turquoise waters that are stunningly clear. Emerald green hills serve as the backdrop for a number of USVI beaches, and palm trees often provide shade and added atmosphere. Other reasons why tourists are drawn to the beaches in the US Virgin Islands are the warm year-round weather and the fact that each and every strip of sand on the islands is open to the public.
The US Virgin Islands combine with the British Virgin Islands to make up the larger Virgin Islands chain. On St John, pristine Trunk Bay Beach presents a beach setting that is almost too good to be true.
Whatever your preference, the beaches in the US Virgin Islands have you covered. Mega resorts sit on the sands of some, while others are secluded and devoid of development. When visitors aren't enjoying beach time, they can indulge in a wide variety of other activities, such as hiking, golfing, and deep sea fishing. Break it all down, and it's no wonder that tourism is the top industry in the USVI.
