Cayman Islands Beaches

Cayman Islands Beaches
The Cayman Islands are one of the most popular vacation destinations in the western Caribbean. This popularity has a lot to do with the amazing Cayman Islands beaches. Known for their soft, white sands and their calm, turquoise waters, these beaches welcome scores of tourists to their sandy shores on an annual basis. Kicking back in a beach chair and sipping on rum punch are popular options, and thanks to reefs that are not far from shore, numerous strips of sand in the Cayman Islands can serve as excellent jump off points for snorkeling adventures. Scuba diving is also a popular pursuit, and there certainly isn't a shortage of hotels that can help their guests arrange all kinds of watersports activities.

Three islands make up the Cayman Islands chain. They are the main island of Grand Cayman and the smaller, quieter sister islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Much of the tourist activity is centered around Grand Cayman, and Seven Mile Beach is a big reason why. Consistently ranked among the very best beaches in the Caribbean, Seven Mile Beach is a long strip of powdery white sand that is lined with resorts, restaurants, shops, watersports kiosks, and condo rentals. Even with all the development, it isn't difficult to find a relaxed spot on this well-manicured beach, and adding to the allure is the excellent snorkeling that can be enjoyed right offshore.

Other divine beaches, such as Rum Point Beach, call Grand Cayman home, so beach lovers are encouraged to expand their horizons. Also not to be overlooked are the Cayman Islands beaches that are found on the smaller islands. Cayman Brac's southwest coast is home to several glorious beaches that are never crowded, for example, and over on Little Cayman, Point of Sand Beach presents pinkish-white sands and calm waters that are terrific for snorkeling.
